Loch Tay Highland Lodges Leisure Park is located within one of Scotland’s most scenic glens. From the Loch itself to the high mountains and unspoilt heather moorlands these diverse habitats are home to a wealth of wildlife.

Within this captivating scenery nature lovers can see stags, red squirrels and salmon leaping up spectacular waterfalls.

Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve offers superb mountain scenery and a unique range of artic- alpine plants. For those exploring on foot there are fungi, wild flowers and a wealth of butterflies and moths to see.

Snowdrops in Springtime

Loch Tay is home to Ospreys who arrive from West Africa at the end of March. Higher on the hills bird lovers can spot hen harries, ring ouzel and ptarmigans.

Within Fortingall churchyard, 10 miles west of Aberfeldy, is the Fortingall Yew thought to be between 3000- 9000 years old its is claimed to be the oldest living thing in Europe.

Drummond Hill at Kenmore offers many excellent walks and fine views over Loch Tay. This stunning forest is a mix of broadleaves and conifers and its grassy glades allow spring sightings of capercaille and elusive roe deer.
