We have some of the best archery equipment in the country, ensuring you can learn archery under the best conditions and truly revel in the glory of hitting that first bullseye!
Archery takes place in the grounds of our park in our purpose built archery site. You'll be surrounded by trees and nature, an ideal environment in which to learn archery.

Gravity Assisted Downhill Cycle Trips are incredibly exhilarating, and a great way to experience the lush highland hills, scenery and countryside around Loch Tay.

Our downhill cycle trips are thrilling and “easy peasy” whether you’re 8 or 80 (just ask our 80 year old cycler, Gerry Law)!
Here at Loch Tay Highland Lodges we have a fleet of high tech mountain bikes available for hire for both downhill trips and mountain biking adventures. Our fleet includes a range of bikes to suit all ages.

It’s very simple: We take you and your bike to the top of the hill.
You cycle and let gravity aid your journey down…

Wildlife watching at Loch Tay is one of the highlights of this area.
While staying with us you could catch sight of red squirrels, pine martens, and black grouse or even spot a Roe Deer or stag roaming by. Our property and surrounding hills are teaming with Scottish wildlife.
There is also an abundance and variety of flora and fauna such as bluebells, thistles, heather and beautiful, colourful alpine flowers, not to mention the incredible rolling green hills perfect for walks.
Walking around Loch Tay
One of the best ways to see the animals and plant life of Loch Tay is to get out and explore the landscape on foot or on a mountain bike.
Trails of varying difficulties stretch around the loch as well as up into the surrounding hills from the easy Ben Lawers nature trail to the more testing climb of Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas. There are also walking trails around the local townships including: Pitlochry, Killin and Kenmore. For more experienced hikers, longer and more intense hiking routes wind up into the hills and mountains.
The walking trails around Loch Tay offer incredible scenic views of the loch and town, and all offer a chance to see local wildlife, plants and flowers up close. If you’d like to see even more wildlife, you may be interested in visiting one of the local wildlife parks or stopping by the Ben Lawers Visitor Centre for insight into local nature conversation and restoration efforts.
Loch Tay offers many exciting outdoor adventures in and around its shores. Here at Loch Tay Highland Lodges, we offer you the chance to hire kayaks or to learn kayaking alongside one of our experienced instructors.
Travelling by boat is an ideal way to take in the Loch's gorgeous soundings, from ruins of ancient villages and communities to stone circles and standing stones, these gentle waters make for a great paddle journey.
At Loch Tay Highland Lodges, our experienced instructors provide a fantastic introduction to Kayaking. Come take part in one of our Kayak fun sessions and learn valuable new skills!

We can offer excellent facilities for guests who wish to bring their own horse on holiday - either individuals or riding clubs. We have a large outdoor all weather arena, hill-track for trekking and hacking and we can offer stabling or grass livery - for a weekend or full weeks. This also applies to local horse owners who may want to bring their horse here for DIY livery either stabled or at grass all year round.

Spirit Yule Tour!

We invite you to come take part in our exclusive chauffeur drive around some of the local area's best distilleries.
Our Whisky tour will take you on a round trip that includes the Dalwhinnie distillery and Glenturret (Scotland's oldest distillery) situated near Crieff. Enjoy a rare wee malt at Erdradour, Scotland's smallest distillery, then finish up the tour at the Dewar's visitor centre and distillery in Aberfeldy.
